Welcome to Reception
A very warm welcome to Reception! My name is Miss Jones, and I am delighted to be your child’s class teacher. Alongside me are Miss Price, our dedicated Teaching Assistant, and Mrs Graham, our experienced HLTA. As a team, we are here to support your child throughout their Reception year as they grow, learn and develop.
Throughout the year, children will take part in a range of exciting topics and learning experiences designed to inspire curiosity, encourage independence and build confidence. We begin with our topic, "Marvellous Me", which helps children to settle into school, develop positive relationships and celebrate what makes them, and their families, unique. As the year progresses, our learning will continue to provide opportunities for children to explore new ideas, develop important skills and enjoy a wide variety of enriching experiences.
Our focus throughout the year will be on developing key early skills in communication and language, independence, literacy, mathematics, and personal, social and emotional development, all within a caring, nurturing and stimulating environment.
We are also delighted to be part of the Read Write Inc. community, providing children with the skills and confidence they need to become enthusiastic, fluent readers and writers.
We believe that early education is a partnership, and we look forward to working closely with you to ensure your child has a happy, successful and rewarding first year at school.
