Hello and a very warm welcome to Cedar Class!
My name is Miss Evans, and I’m delighted to be your child’s class teacher this year. In Cedar Class, we are also very fortunate to be supported by Mrs Graham and Miss Henshaw, who play a key role in helping the children thrive both academically and socially.
We have an exciting year of learning ahead, full of curiosity, creativity and discovery. Our topics this year will take us on some wonderful adventures. We will explore Best of British, travel back in time to discover The Great Fire of London, explore the fascinating continent of Africa, immerse ourselves in Traditional Tales, discover the world of Food, and travel back in time to learn about Medieval life.
We are passionate about developing a love of reading in Cedar Class. We will encourage children to read regularly both at school and at home, explore a wide range of exciting books and authors, and share stories together. We hope to inspire children to become confident, enthusiastic readers who enjoy getting lost in a good book!
Our goal is to create a supportive and stimulating environment where every child feels happy, confident and ready to learn. Through strong partnerships between home and school, we’ll work together to ensure each child makes great progress, develops their independence and enjoys coming to school each day.
We have PE on Tuesdays and Fridays and Forest School on Thursdays.
We’re looking forward to a fantastic year in Cedar Class — growing together, celebrating successes, discovering new things and making wonderful memories along the way.
