Welcome to Elm Class! Our Year 3 and 4 children have an exciting year of learning, discovery and adventure ahead. Throughout the year, our topics will take us on a journey across the world and through history, giving us opportunities to explore new places, cultures, people and ideas.
We begin with Our Blue Planet, where we discover the wonders of our oceans and seas and learn about the fascinating creatures that live beneath the waves. We then travel to the frozen landscapes of Polar Explorers, investigating life in the Arctic and Antarctic and the challenges of living in extreme environments.
Next, we step back in time with Tomb Raiders, exploring the mysteries of Ancient Egypt. Marvellous Magic will spark our imagination and creativity, before we travel further into the past with Ancient Sports, discovering how people in ancient civilisations enjoyed games and physical activities.
Finally, we journey into the rainforest with Under the Canopy, exploring incredible ecosystems, wildlife and the importance of protecting our planet.
Alongside our topic learning, we will develop our skills in English, mathematics, science, computing, art, PE, music and RE. We look forward to a fantastic year of learning, creativity and adventure in Elm Class!
